Diversity archive and exhibition
As part of its ongoing diversity initiative, AIGA is developing an online research database and exhibition dedicated to the professional lives, achievements and portfolios of leading design pioneers with diverse racial and ethnic identities, many of whom did not receive the recognition they deserve. AIGA invites you to recommend those whom you feel should be included in this archive.
The archive will highlight graphic designers, information designers, art directors, advertising designers, design planners or strategists, interactive media designers, time-based media designers, experience designers who are either deceased or have been working for more than 25 years in the industry and who identify as Native American or Alaska Native; Asian; Black or African American; Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander; Hispanic or Latino/Not Hispanic or Latino. The primary focus of the archive will be American, including Puerto Rican, designers, though non-American citizens will be considered if a substantial portion of their work was produced within the United States.
Please take a moment to send us your recommendation(s) by logging into the form below (you don’t need to be a member; use the link below to create an account if you don’t already have one). The archive's board of advisors will gather in spring 2007 to review the recommendations and make its final selection.
